Nam Theun 2 Company has carried out its annual inspection of public communication systems (public loudspeakers) across 60 target villages located downstream of the Nakai Dam and regulating dam, covering areas in Khammouane and parts of Bolikhamxai provinces, including Gnommalath, Mahaxai, and Khamkeut districts

The inspection was conducted between February and March 2026, during which 4 units needed minor maintenance. The team promptly completed repairs between 8 and 10 April 2026, and all systems are now fully functional

These communication systems play a critical role in delivering timely information and alerts to the communities—especially during the rainy season—enabling them to prepare, respond effectively, and coordinate in line with the company’s Emergency Evacuation Plan
