On 19 march 2024, the Reforestation Project kick-off meeting took place at Powerhouse, in cooperation with the Khammouane provincial steering committees, and was attended by key figures including the head of the Provincial Agriculture and Forestry office (PAFO), The head of the Provincial Natural Resource and Environmental Office (PoNRF), the Vice GML district Governor, the head of the District Agriculture and Forestry Office (DAFO), and the Head of District Nature Resource and Environmental Office (DoNRE) along with district-relevant office and Nam Theun 2 relevant department. The meeting’s purpose was to introduce the project steering committee members appointed by the Vice provincial Governor of Khammouane Province and to outline the project’s objectives and strategy plan.
