The Project is being constructed and managed by the Nam Theun 2 Power Company (NTPC). Shareholders are Electricité de France (EDF), the Lao Holding State Enterprise (LHSE), owned by the Lao Government, the Electricity Generating Public Company of Thailand (EGCO), and Italian-Thai Development Public Company of Thailand (ITD).
